Her experience with floral design and incorporating permanent interiorscapes into interior design has shaped her accessorizing philosophy and benefits clients today. Sold in 2004 Linda has brought this entrepreneurial approach to another branch of Baker Design Group: Curate Florals by BDG, the latest addition to the firm, which sells wholesale floral artistry to design professionals. Baker Design Group is also well known in the DFW Region for their outstanding full-service Christmas.

Award-winning designer Kay Cosby Ainsworth believes design is personal. Your home or business is a reflection of you. It’s not simply about building a room or collection of furnishings; it’s about building relationships. We leverage our God given talents and organizational skills to create spaces to love and be loved in. We renovate lives and connect our clients with top tier furniture and accessories. Our goal is to create a space that’s uniquely yours and she is excited to help grow BDG Construction to its fullest by taking on the Project Manager role and working alongside Heather and the construction team.
In 2006, Kay graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design from Texas Tech University. Her first position out of school was working for Architecture Demarest. AD specializes in multi-family and student housing work. This position was an excellent foundation for understanding the built environment and engineering behind construction documents. While at AD she obtained her Texas (RID) and National (NCIDQ) licenses. After working at AD, she relocated to a position with Redstone Kitchens. Her work with Redstone allowed her to master kitchen design and material specifications while working directly with clients. A majority of 2015 was spent with extra freelance work for friends and referrals. It’s this work that’s led her to begin her own interior design firm full time. She looks forward to working with homeowners, architects, and contractors in order to deliver new homes, existing home renovations and commercial spaces that fit the client’s needs and personal style.

Dallas Interior Designer, Lisa Floyd, developed her passion for design at a young age with a perfectionist eye and a constant craving for all things creative. She took that passion to Baylor University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. The four year, accredited program developed her knowledge on materials and finishes, skills in various computer drafting programs, abilities to sketch and render as well as her unique design perspective. She also carried involvement in the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) into postgraduate leadership roles with both the Dallas chapter of ASID and the DFW chapter of the Interior Design Society (IDS). Lisa served as Chair of the ASID TX Dallas Design Community multiple years.
Before joining Baker Design Group in 2011, Lisa’s love for the fast paced, ever-changing field of design grew immensely, along with her skill set as she was able to use her strong presentation skills with client meetings and especially her rendering skills, presenting beautiful hand drawings with each new project. Interning with Dallas designer, Denise McGaha, working as a freelance designer in San Antonio, and designing and executing stage backdrops for Baylor, including award winning work, add to her diverse artistic experience.
Her experience even reaches to commercial Christmas design and décor, being awarded the opportunity to design and install the Christmas decorations for Baylor University’s Student Union.
Lisa is right at home as Senior Designer at BDG, bringing her professional ideas to life with a fresh, innovative, artistic design eye. A big people person, she loves collaborating with the BDG design team and bringing visions to fruition for our fabulous client-base. In 2012 she took home the ASID DesignOvation First place award for Emerging Designer, and continues to see success for the design team, in industry awards and accolades for all their hard work, both locally and nationally. Lisa, and the Baker Design Group team, has been named a D Home Best Designer multiple years running, and featured along with Dallas’s best and brightest in Interior Design.
With several years of experience in the industry and a passion for interior design, Claire looks forward to bringing new and exciting ideas to the marketing and seasonal department and the opportunity to grow substantially with BDG. In her spare time, Claire enjoys trying new restaurants around Dallas, being by the pool, going for walks, reading, playing golf and tennis, and spending time with family and friends.
Jessica’s passion for design began as a child while helping pick out wall paper and flooring for a kitchen remodel. Since then she can’t help but to walk into a room and envision how to make it better – whether it be more functional or aesthetically pleasing. Jessica went to school at the University of North Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design. While at UNT, Jessica interned with the UNT Facilities Management and Construction office where she gained experience in commercial design and helped conduct LEED research for the recently built and LEED accredited Business Leadership Building.
After moving to Seattle, Jessica switched her focus to residential design and began interning at Kristine Donovick Interior Design. There she was able to further develop her skills while assisting designers with various projects in the Pacific Northwest. In 2012, Jessica moved back to the Dallas area and began working for Baker Design Group. She is now an allied member of ASID and her diverse client background has cultivated her appreciation for many different design styles. Since then, she has worked on many of our award winning projects and is looking forward to continuing to work with clients to transform their living and work spaces.
Amanda Tarango joins Baker Design Group as an Interior Designer after she had the opportunity to take her skill set to Waco, Texas, where she worked as an assistant designer for HGTV’s Fixer Upper. Her love for Interior Design came about at a young age when she would beg her mother to help her rearrange their furniture. Ever since, she’s had an enthusiasm for space planning and creating layouts. Amanda graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design. During her time at UNT she interned with a non-profit interior design organization where she developed floor plans and selected furniture options, and designed graphics for marketing and development activities. Her eagerness to learn makes her a great asset and she’s excited to be a part of the BDG team.
Julia joins Baker Design Group from Louisiana State University, where she recently graduated and majored in Interior Design and minored in Business Administration. She previously sold wedding dresses in Baton Rouge but moved to Dallas to pursue Interior Design. As a child, Julia used to beg her mom to let her redo her family’s bedrooms every few months and from there she realized she wanted to be an interior designer. She looks forward to being apart of a team who brings joy and excitement into the lives of all who enter the spaces in which they design.
Originally from Houma, Louisiana, Julia is one of four sisters. She really loves kitchen design and remodels as well, which grew from how much she loves to cook in her free time. Julia uses design as a way to impact people and hopes that she can help others in a unique way. Her goal while working at Baker Design Group is to change the way her clients experience a space and create lasting relationships along the way.
